Today I’m excited to share a collab review and post with Vega One and Fit Approach to spread the word about the #OneChange movement to help conquer your health and fitness goals for 2014.

January always brings up the notion of change (a new year, a fresh start).  But really, all it takes is #OneChange to start transforming old habits into new and improved habits.  Vega One created a #OneChange movement with this consumer mindset in mind:  “I know there are no quick fixes when it comes to managing my weight. I’ve learned that the best way for me to stay on track and eat clean is to plan ahead and prep my meals.  Simple is key to success, so for me this means easy meals and healthy snacks (like overnight oats, protein bars and shakes).  However, depending on how many meals or snacks you eat a day, preparing so much can seem like a daunting task.  Enter: Vega One.

The ease of Vega One products makes it ok for me to be the ultimate “serial snacker.”  Lately I seem to have insatiable hunger (RUNger? except I’m tapering), so snacks have been my best friend.  My #OneChange has been to implement healthy, high protein snacks during the day to tie me over to the next meal, snack or workout.  Ever since my coffee smoothie last weekend, I’ve been craving a cool, sweet, whipped cream topped drink.  So instead of submitting to a “light frappuccino,” I’m packing my own natural and protein-packed coffee shake.  And because the Vega One protein powder is packed with protein, vitamins, omega 3s, fiber, antioxidents, probiotics and greens with no added sugars, artificial colors, flavors, or sweeteners, it’s much better for you.  So instead of artificial sweeteners and syrups in my MFL (mocha frappuccino light), I’ll be having this Coffee Latte Shake, perfect anytime of the day (for a morning snack or an afternoon pick-me-up).

Coffee Latte Shake
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup brewed coffee, chilled
1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1/2 cup vanilla greek yogurt
1 packet french vanilla Vega One protein powder
1 cup ice
DIRECTIONS:

  1. Place everything in a blender and blend until you reach a nice and smooth consistency.
