Geez, I love this holiday weekend. I keep thinking it’s Sunday, but it’s already Monday — the best!
I feel like I’ve been MIA on here because I haven’t been posting (nearly) every day. Lately I haven’t felt like blogging, and that’s ok. It’s become less of a priority, while watching Parks and Recreation for hours and driving to inconvenient locations for Peet’s Coffee (their iced almond milk latte is on point) have crept high onto my list.
Sometimes blogging can be fun, and other times, it can be not. When you agree to do reviews, make day-specific themed posts, etc., it creates deadlines, and makes it less of a hobby and more of a job. Most of the time I find blogging to be easy, but lately I haven’t been feeling like putting on my thinking cap and being creative. So I haven’t.
Thursday I won a pair of CEP compression sleeves (my first pair of sleeves) at the Old Shoe Fun Run, and put them to use on Saturday. They felt great, especially because my calves were tight and we ran a lot of hills. I also got a lot of compliments on them for some reason. Guess I’m just going to have to wear them every day 😛
Sunday was one of the most fun days I’ve had in a while. I was really tempted to stay home all day, but I realized if I did that, 5pm would roll around, I’d be bored out of my mind, and it would be too late to do anything. So instead, I met up with Andy and her husband to beach, boogie board and BBQ. Everything just panned out to be the best day ever. The sun came out, the water was enjoyably warm, and the BBQ-ed pineapple was off the hook! Plus Meat Doctor Andy was there to make sure the chicken was cooked internally to 165 degrees F!
Today, I’m all about home improvement. Saturday I literally wiped down everything in the house, and today I’m taking it up a notch. So without my bf’s knowledge (and luckily he doesn’t read this or even remember that my blog isn’t called Ashleigh cup of jojo), I’m getting the carpets cleaned and upgrading our TV from chunky to streamlined. Plus I hung up my new mirror, all by myself at 9:30 last night. Didn’t turn out all that great, but at least it’s up.
